Gone But Not Forgotten
Neil Channing is no longer in the tournament – spotted in the hallway with the somewhat surprised look of someone who has busted when he hasn’t had much recent experience of busting. Sorry mullacott etc. He can’t win ‘em all.
Also Not In but were at start of day---Anna Wroblewski
Eli Elezra
Stuart Fox
Five full tables of players. Chip counts of remaining players on their way.
Mini Elite Promotional Side Event News Now
The first player out of the $10k Stars of Poker (see what they’ve done there?) was Daniel Negreanu. I was alerted to the fact that he was all in by hearing his dulcet tones announcing, “I have no outs.” He stood up and it became apparent that he was in a set-over –set situation vs. John Duthie, (555 vs KKK) and as he headed out, he got the poker player’s way of saying Hard Luck from the table: “What a cooler.” He himself left saying, “Say goodbye to the donkey!” although it was unclear whether he was referring to himself or to Duthie.
